MAKAN #3 Launch: Synthetic Agencies

To mark the release of the third issue of MAKAN, Think Tanger hosts a launch event followed by a conversation with Ali T. As’ad and Hicham Bouzid.

Titled Synthetic Agencies, this issue emerges in a moment of global uncertainty, examining the invisible systems — digital, political, and economic — that shape everyday life. Through a range of contributions, the journal questions how power operates in a world increasingly mediated by technology and abstraction, and what forms of agency remain possible.

The conversation reflects on the making of the issue while opening a broader discussion on its key themes: control, resistance, and the architectures of the unseen. The launch also marks the beginning of a new curatorial cycle at Think Tanger.
