New Ecological Order
Talk with Lesia Topolnyk
12/03/2026
As part of her residency at Think Tanger, Lesia Topolnyk presents New Ecological Order, an ongoing research project that questions dominant narratives of the “green transition.” Moving through sites such as energy infrastructures and port territories, the project reveals often invisible forms of extraction and their impact on ecosystems and local communities.
At the same time, the research engages with vernacular practices — artisanal gestures, seasonal rhythms, and knowledge systems rooted in land and cosmic time. Through these encounters, New Ecological Order gathers fragile yet persistent forms of knowledge that resist acceleration and suggest alternative ways of inhabiting the world.
